BLOOD TYPE DIETS:
Based on the
work of Dr Peter D'Adamo ND, blood type diets are routine. As the human race
begins to understand the implications of genetics, blood type diets offer a
clearer picture according to DNA function of how certain foods can be
beneficial or detrimental to each individuals health. Patients are encouraged
to follow the blood type diet plan according to their blood group due to the
simple fact that lectins’ reactions or blood proteins can increase or decrease
blood flow. As the body can be viewed
as a flow system, any foods that hinder the movement of blood will cause
disease and dysfunction and any food or substance that increase flow will
improve oxygen and nutrient supply as well as remove waste and toxins.
The
disadvantage is that blood type diets will tell you only the basic
foods/vitamins generally good
for blood type health. Individual patient requirements of vitamins/
enzymes are calculated using our other point-of-care diagnostic tools such as
the BTA/ blood chemistry and other physiological test such as blood pressure,
breath rates etc specific to each individual.
METABOLIC
TYPING - MT:
Most people
believe that the body is designed to be healthy, if given the right food and
water, that the ability to experience radiant health is part of the genetic
code built into every cell in your body.
Based on the work of William Walcott, metabolic typing is a way to gauge
how well you body is burning fats or carbohydrates, whether one is a fast
oxidizer or slow oxidizer. This is
critical in understanding where the body's energy is coming from and how it is
being utilized.
WATER QUALITY & LIFE:
Scientific research has vastly improved our
understanding of the unique properties of water and the importance of consuming
pure, clean water for optimum health.
The quality of life that our cells experience
& the matrix or mesenchyme, & by extension that of our own body’s
performance is determined by the quality of the water that we consume. Water has several roles that cannot be
replaced by anything that is man-made.
The pH of your water should be between 8.5 to
9.5, the redox potential of the water should be less than 25 millivolts, lower
is better, and lastly the resistivity factor should be approximately 15,000.
At The Maas Clinic we are happy to do
complimentary testing on all of our patients’ water sources to be sure that
they are consuming water that is benefiting their program & health.
